Meet the Founders
Mission & Vision
Act Natural
What touches your skin should be a luxury. All of our pieces are made with natural fibers. We proudly use organic cotton, made with the highest standard of fiber processing: GOTS certification. Better for you and for the earth.
Most activewear is made with synthetic fabrics that contain heavy metals, lead, and even PFAs and formaldehyde, linked to cancer.
We saw through the activewear industry’s marketing and decided to raise the bar on transparency and high quality.
Passion for Fashion
We couldn’t find non-toxic clothing that felt like us, so we made our own.
We resonated with earlier decades of fashion when activewear was made to last, and when fashion gave athletes power and presence on & off season.
Fashion should be about expression. More style, less uniformity.
We’re two girls who love fashion and fitness. Our friendship started at Pilates in athleisure. It’s more than clothes. We wanted to capture authentic connection and confidence.
Beyond the Brand
Maison de René is built with intention. As two female co-founders, we believe that women are stronger together.
We pledge to give 1% of every order to Women for Women, which provides female survivors of war with the social and economic skills needed to move from crisis to long-term stability. Our donations help with vocational training, rights awareness, and aid to empower marginalized women in conflict-affected regions.
Wellness extends beyond what we wear. It starts with access, support, and dignity.
Uchka
Uchka Jimsee is a Mongolian-American designer, model, and founder of Maison de René. A Miss Asian Global titleholder, Uchka’s journey through the fashion industry began both in front of and behind the scenes, shaping her understanding of beauty, storytelling, and design.
Trained in fashion design and immersed in the industry through roles with brands such as Forever 21 and Fashion Nova, she witnessed firsthand the hidden cost of fast fashion, where creativity and sustainability are often overlooked. That became a turning point.
Born and raised in Mongolia, Uchka was deeply influenced by a culture rooted in harmony with nature, resourcefulness, and respect for craftsmanship. These values of using natural materials in clothing became the foundation of her vision: to redefine fashion not as consumption, but as expression.
Through Maison de René, she creates pieces that embody strength and softness, movement and intention. She designs for the modern woman who leads, evolves, and defines her own narrative. Her philosophy is simple yet powerful:
“Find your art.”
To Uchka, fashion is not just what you wear. It is who you become.
Trisha
Trisha Hoy is a multi-disciplinary designer and co-founder of Maison de René. Raised in San Francisco, she entered the creative side of tech at just 20 years old, and now has nearly a decade of experience shaping digital products and branding for leading companies including Instagram, Microsoft, Pinterest, Nordstrom Media Network, and GEICO.
Her work sits at the intersection of technology, media, and culture. She combines corporate design expertise with years of content creation in the luxury beauty and wellness space. As the founder of Finer Things Co., Trisha creates elevated digital designs and websites for businesses, bringing a refined aesthetic and strategic lens to her work.
Raised by an immigrant mom, Trisha’s perspective is shaped by the belief in discipline and the unwavering confidence that you can achieve the lifestyle and goals that you dream of, regardless of where you begin. Her story with activewear started with movement: early mornings training as a competitive runner, winters spent skiing in Lake Tahoe, and later creating an online platform to share her morning routines.
Across her career, public speaking, and creative work, Trisha’s motto is: “Embody your philosophy.”
